This unified structure is governed by a central automated multi-mission service, which coordinates all assets to produce complex, tailored EO products for the end-user.
Enabling the New Space Ecosystem: This architecture specifically supports the dynamic New Space sector by integrating two main provider types into one system:
- EO Products Providers: Established operators who offer their existing data and products through the platform.
- EO Satellite Constellations: New missions that leverage the Ground Segment as a Service (GSaaS) solution offered by LEONSEGS. This allows the system not only to access their data but also to manage the tasking of future acquisitions.
By establishing this standardised, automated framework, LEONSEGS aims to provide essential market access to new and existing players who wish to externalise their ground segment operations, fundamentally improving operational efficiency and expanding the catalogue of available complex EO products.
