Executive Roundtable
Theme: The evolving role of the space and geospatial industry in times of geopolitical instability
27 April - 01 May 2026, Amsterdam
Geospatial World is hosting a series of CXO Summits and GWF 2026 Launch Receptions across global cities between August 2025 and February 2026. These high-level gatherings bring together senior executives, policymakers, and thought leaders from the geospatial and space ecosystem for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration on the journey towards the Geospatial World Forum 2026.
On 25 February 2026, Geospatial World hosted the Geospatial World Forum 2026 London Launch Reception in partnership with the UK Government Digital Service, part of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) in Whitehall. The reception followed an executive roundtable that convened senior representatives from government, industry, and academia to explore the evolving role of geospatial and space capabilities in an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.
Discussions highlighted how geospatial intelligence is becoming central to national resilience, infrastructure planning, climate governance, and digital public services. Participants also reflected on the necessary balance between sovereign capabilities and building trusted partnerships, emphasizing the need for nations to identify critical capabilities while maintaining collaboration across a globally interconnected technology ecosystem.
The roundtable also examined the rapid evolution of geospatial AI, as well as the opportunities and challenges emerging from advances in automation, data analytics, and machine intelligence. Transparency, data governance, and trust in authoritative datasets were identified as essential foundations for responsible innovation.
The London reception brought together leaders from the geospatial, space, defence, and digital ecosystems, creating an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and new connections across policy, industry, and technology communities. The evening marked another significant milestone in the global lead-up to the Geospatial World Forum 2026, scheduled to take place from April 27 to May 1, 2026, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
