
















OVERVIEW
GEO4SDGs, a two-day international conference is going to be held under the Geospatial World Forum 2018 umbrella, in Hyderabad, India. The GEO4SDGs international conference will include discussions and debates on Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development as adopted by the United Nations in September 2015. Attracting world leaders from the global geospatial community, development organizations, international and multilateral organizations, and academia and research, the conference will highlight the role of geospatial information as an indispensable element to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
OBJECTIVE
GEO4SDGs: Addressing the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development aims to bridge the gap between the geospatial community, policy makers, and the implementers of the Sustainable Development Goals. The conference, themed, 'Geo-knowledge conduit to SDGs success', will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss the integration of geospatial data in to the sustainable development agenda in a holistic manner. The conference aims to bring collaboration and liaison among government agencies, commercial sectors, multilateral and international development organizations, and the civil society through initiating detailed discussions.

GWF PLENARY ON GEO4SDGs
The role of geospatial information to address the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is being increasingly realized. The Day I of GEO4SDGs will begin with the GWF Plenary on Geo4SDGs & Opening Session of Geo4SDGs conference (open to all GWF delegates) which shall discuss the need of geospatial information for attaining the SDGs. Following the GWF Plenary on GEO4SDGs will be five panel discussions on core infrastructure issues necessary for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
