GeoWomen: Shaping the World, One Map at a Time 04 December 2025 Hall - MR 17, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, India
Organized by

GeoWomen: Shaping the World, One Map at a Time is conceived as an inspirational, narrative-driven, and discussion-led initiative that highlights the critical role women play in shaping our planet and its future through geospatial and space technologies.

Concept

GeoWomen is a curated storytelling and impact program that amplifies the voices and contributions of women who use geospatial and space technologies to solve problems, empower communities, protect the environment, and drive national development.

It combines high-impact personal narratives, case-based insights, visual storytelling, and collective reflection to create a unique experience that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally inspiring.

It goes beyond technical discussions to answer deeper questions:

  • Who are the women behind the maps and satellites that shape our world?
  • What challenges did they overcome to reach these heights?
  • How does geospatial technology change lives when women lead?
  • What future are women imagining and mapping for India and the world?

Panel Session 1: She Shapes the World: Stories from Geospatial Trailblazers

Session Highlight

The session brings together women who have carved extraordinary paths in geospatial science, mapping, and space technologies - often by overcoming challenges that remain unseen. This session shifts the spotlight from achievements to the human journey - the moments that shaped them, the confidence they built, the barriers they navigated, and the purpose that continues to drive them. Through honest reflection and shared experience, the conversation reveals how resilience, clarity, and self-belief can redefine entire fields. It becomes an inspiring space for young women, professionals, and the larger ecosystem to understand how personal stories can transform the future of geospatial innovation.
