GeoWomen: Shaping the World, One Map at a Time is conceived as an inspirational, narrative-driven, and discussion-led initiative that highlights the critical role women play in shaping our planet and its future through geospatial and space technologies.
Concept
GeoWomen is a curated storytelling and impact program that amplifies the voices and contributions of women who use geospatial and space technologies to solve problems, empower communities, protect the environment, and drive national development.
It combines high-impact personal narratives, case-based insights, visual storytelling, and collective reflection to create a unique experience that is both intellectually stimulating and emotionally inspiring.
It goes beyond technical discussions to answer deeper questions:
- Who are the women behind the maps and satellites that shape our world?
- What challenges did they overcome to reach these heights?
- How does geospatial technology change lives when women lead?
- What future are women imagining and mapping for India and the world?
