Toulouse Space Week began on October 2-3 2023. The event offers a new way to expand the professional networks of both startups and established companies alike. It also delivers unparalleled services to the space industry by catalysing business meetings for top-level decision-makers and networking activities.

This year’s event witnessed 400 participants, 5000 pre-organized B2B meetings, 12 workshops, and 4 networking

Organized by Proximum 365, the event aims to highlight the ongoing projects while focusing on capacity building and future missions that will shape the space industry worldwide. The conference will also provide a location to nurture new business ventures, networks, and ideas.

Space Capital 

Located in the enchanting South of France, Toulouse is often referred as the ‘Powerhouse of European Space and Europe’s Space Capital’. It is home to cutting-edge space R&D centers, innovation clusters, and companies working across space.

CNES (Centre national d’études spatiales), or the French Space Agency,  has its origins in Toulouse. Under French President Charles De Gaulle, the Toulouse Space Centre was established in 1968.

Airbus and Thales Alenia, the French aerospace giants, also have their headquarters in Toulouse. A lot of NewSpace startups are based there as well.

Toulouse also has a unique satellite assembly centre which was developed as a collaboration between Airbus and OneWeb. It combines precision with unmatched quality, uncompromising standards, and scalability. The city also has other innovative space institutions such as IRT, CIRIMAT, Laplace, and LAAS.

Toulouse has spectacular infrastructure for satellite designing, assembly, manufacturing, and testing. The proximity of so many leading companies and research institutions ensures that it innovative, out-of-the-box ideas are materialized very quickly.
