< 1 Minute Read

At the Geospatial World Forum 2024, ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India), a large accountant body with a presence in over 80 cities around the world, announced setting up a new representative office in Rotterdam, its second in the Netherlands after Amsterdam, and 12th in Europe.

Over the decades, ICAI has achieved recognition not only in India but also globally, for maintaining high standards in technical, and ethical areas and for sustaining stringent examination and education standards.

โ€œThis is a truly momentous occasionโ€, says Charanjot Singh Nanda, Vice President, ICAI.

“A new office fosters a platform for professional growth and raises the bar higher. A compelling testament to our growth and developmentโ€

We are dedicated partners in nation-building. We stand at a crossroads that will define the path forward for India and the world. We can drive economic reforms, and offer valuable counsel,โ€ he adds.

Indo-Dutch Trade

Historically, India and the Netherlands have had strong trade relations dating back 400 years. Recently, the Netherlands became Indiaโ€™s largest trading partner in Europe and the fourth-largest investor in the country, marking a significant milestone in bilateral trade.

“More than 800 companies operate in the India-Netherlands economic corridor. The business is worth $25 billion. Opening a new office in Rotterdam will only add a multiplier effect,” says CA Vikas Chaturvedi.

“Long-standing diplomatic relations between India and the Netherlands serve as a robust foundation,” adds Nanda.
