As a freelancing GIS & Remote sensing consultant, trusted advisor and founder of LATGEO Consulting, his current focus is on consulting / advisory for geo-enablement of enterprises, helping governments/organizations navigate the challenges of implementing geospatial technologies and dealing with multiple technologies, platforms, vendors and integration. With a passion for knowledge sharing and dissemination, he is involved with geospatial technology evangelism. A United Nations volunteer, Aswani is also an empaneled resource for Geoinformatics and Incident Response Management at National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM).

His sectoral experience includes E-Governance, Natural resource management, Urban / Rural development, Homeland Security, Public Safety, Emergency Response, Disaster Management, Defense, Land Record Modernization, Utilities, Smart Cities / Smart Infrastructure with a special focus on the integration of Geospatial (GIS) technologies with real-time devices and enterprise systems.
