The success of indoor LBS will only occur with the innovation and discovery of new applications of the technology, either on its own or in combination with others such as wearables and social media, writes Jouni Kämäräinen, Board Chair, In-Location Alliance.
Current mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets and upcoming wearable devices like augmented reality glasses and smart watches, are designed to enable rich multimedia services including location-based services.
