has been progressing at a
remarkable pace
Andhra Pradesh is hailed as one of the first states in India to establish an exclusive organisation to formulate, promote and execute housing schemes for the benefit of people in general and particularly for the weaker sections living in rural and urban areas.
In November 2014, the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) was tasked with the responsibility to geo-tag all the houses built between 2004 and 2014 using a custom-made mobile application. The deadline offered less than three months for NRSC and APSHCL to deliver. The two organisations, however, took up the challenge and decided to create a mobile app that could utilise the functionality and capabilities of NRSC’s Bhuvan geo-portal
