With development of technology especially in industry the need for real-time measuring and modeling is increased. Since each of the approaches developed in this field has shortcoming, it seems nessesory to compare them in varius aspects. Here we present short overview of more useful approaches especially in car industry and a comparison between them. we compare mainly Laser and photogrammetry-base approaches. Advantages and disadvantages are discussed with respect to aspects, like data acquisition method, accuracy, speed, avalibility, simplicity, flexibility and costs.
The main conclusion is that the photogrammetry approaches can prepare the appropriate accuracy level ,also they have lower cost. Besides, integration of laser and photogrammetry approaches can fulfil many of the requirements.
