Bhavish Aggarwal’s Krutrim, an AI venture, recently secured $50 million in funding, reaching a $1 billion valuation, as reported by businessline.
This investment round, spearheaded by Matrix Partners, positions Krutrim as India’s quickest to achieve unicorn status and its first in the AI sector.
In a LinkedIn post, Aggarwal expressed that the funds will significantly boost the company’s goal to transform the AI domain, foster innovation, and extend its global presence.
Launched in December and hailed as “India’s first AI”, Krutrim AI can produce content in approximately 10 languages like Marathi, Hindi, Kannada, and Odia, while understanding 20 Indian languages, as covered by CNBCTV18.
