CENTROGEO

The CentroGeo is a research and education institution integrated into the CONACYT Public Center System, whose mission is the generation, transmission and application of knowledge; as well as technological development and innovation in Geospatial Information Sciences.
Currently, different sensors and social networks are continuously recording a huge amount and variety of data, which has triggered a growing interest, from different disciplines, to exploit the geospatial dimension of information.
Thus, from fields as different as Computer Science, Economics or Ecology, work is being done on theories and methodologies that seek to explain patterns, relationships and geospatial processes that help make sense of this enormous amount of data and information.
To reflect this interest that transcends disciplinary boundaries, in the acquisition, processing, analysis and representation of information with geographical reference, the term of Geospatial Information Sciences arises. It is an evolution of the Geographic Information Sciences that, without modifying the foundational concepts of the discipline, opens the possibility of studying space from different theoretical frameworks.
The research areas in the CentroGeo are: Socio-Ecological Systems, Geopolitics and Territory, Spatial Planning, Computational Geointelligence, Remote Perception and Mobility and Logistics.

COLPOS

The Graduate College is currently recognized as a leading institution in agricultural and agri-food sciences in Mexico and Latin America. In it's career COLPOS has trained scientists, academics, decision makers and entrepreneurs who have contributed greatly to the quality of life in Mexico and in other countries, consolidating itself as an institution of excellence at the international level.
