What?s new in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017

< 1 Minute Read

US: Autodesk has just released AutoCAD Civil 3D 2017 to help improves Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes with features to streamline legacy workflows, centralize management of design and drafting standards. The new version also integrates better with Autodesk InfraWorks 360. New features improve legacy workflows by allowing teams to work better together and standards more easily enforced. Users can now reference data shortcuts in other drawings, create multiple DREFs at once, and simplify the management of drawing styles. Other improvements include:

InfraWorks 360: Productivity and design quality soar when you integrate InfraWorks 360 and Civil 3D into your project workflows. For starters, roundabout designs from InfraWorks 360 can now be brought into the AutoCAD Civil 3D model. But the possibilities go well beyond roundabouts.

Accessibility, scalability and value: Corridor modeling has been improved. Corner shapes are automatically cleaned up and accurate. Multiple feature lines can now be extracted from corridor regions; and, corridor solids now maintain their property data throughout the design workflow.

Usable usability: Users can get access to more of what they need to get the job done. They can take advantage of new pressure pipe content for HDPE, PVC and steel pipes. And, work more efficiently and intelligently with Feature Lines created outside of a site.

Total data control: Users can create their own property set definitions, manually add them to any drawing object, and use the property data in other applications like Navisworks and BIM 360 Glue.
