Blaze Terra Demonstrates Advantages in Accessing Acute3D High Resolution City Models

Eternix Ltd., leading provider of next-generation software for GIS visualisation and editing in 3D, demonstrates the benefits of accessing popular 3D mapping data, such as that created by Acute3D. Rapid 3D mapping technologies use automatic 3D photogrammetry to create full 3D models of entire cities, outputting heavy, high resolution files, containing an extremely large number of polygons. As opposed to standard visualisation tools, Blaze Terra and Blaze City Extension allow users to simply drag and drop such files into the scene, making city models available within a fraction of a second, offering unprecedented viewing quality and comfort, while requiring no software additions. In addition, Blaze Terra treats 3D mapping data like any other data-layer. City models are represented in a comprehensive geospatial environment, including combination with layers containing complementary geospatial information, such as vector layers or videos. Blaze Terra’s unique geospatial analysis tools, such as Viewshed, are also available at the click of a button as are image enhancement tools and instant reprojection.

“Much like big data solutions seek to address growing amounts of numerical data, GIS visualisation solutions need to address a growing amount and quality of visual data collected with better sensor technologies, such as Smart3DCapture,” says Daniel Zeitlin, CTO at Eternix. “I believe that Blaze Terra demonstrates it is significantly ahead of other visualisation tools when it comes to the usability, comfort and speed when accessing and consuming visual data on that scale.”
