USA: Bentley Systems inform of the Advancement Insigths, announced that soon to be released AssetWise APM is the next level in immersive APM, the addition of both engineering and asset health context to spatially aware assets. While most GIS-enabled asset management systems allow you to locate assets spatially and provide access to EAM related asset and work history, only AssetWise APM provides an at-a-glance view of current asset condition, its asset health index score, and quick access to related engineering information directly from the map.
Asset health indexing is a hot topic with its alignment to the new asset management standard, ISO 55000. Forward-looking maintenance managers are using asset condition to drive day-to-day corrective maintenance tasks and overall asset health indices to drive refurbishment/replacement decisions and multi-year plans.
