Former NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant to be Chief Guest at Geospatial Artha Summit

The Geospatial Artha Summit, scheduled for 29th & 30th January 2024, at the Westin in Goa will be graced by the presence of Chief Guest, MR. Amitabh Kant, G20 Sherpa, and Former CEO of NITI Aayog.

Amitabh Kant currently serves as India’s G20 Sherpa, representing the nation in a forum where policymakers from both industrialized and developing economies convene to address pivotal global economic matters. The G20 encompasses countries that collectively contribute to 85% of the world’s GDP, 75% of global trade, and host approximately two-thirds of the global population.

Kant is acclaimed for his role as a governance reformer and catalyst for public policy change in India. Notably, during his tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) from 2016 to 2022 and earlier as the Secretary of the Department for Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) from 2014 to 2016 under the Government of India, he spearheaded pivotal reforms and initiatives.

His leadership has been instrumental in driving flagship national programs like Startup India, Make in India, Incredible India, Kerala: Godโ€™s Own Country, and the Aspirational Districts Program. These initiatives have not only repositioned India and Kerala but have also garnered widespread recognition for their transformative impact.
