US: Jack Dangermond, Founder and President, Esri, has made Forbes‘ “World’s Billionaires” list, with a USD 2.2 billion net worth. He is No. 540 overall – tied with three other men – 184 in the United States and No. 164 on the Forbes 400.
According to Forbes, he founded ESRI in 1969 in Redlands, US, with USD 1,100 of family savings. The company is now the world’s largest mapping software company, providing geographic information software to 350,000 customers, including federal agencies, health departments in all 50 states, and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention.
