GPS mapping software debuts for Nigerians streets

Nigeria–A Lagos based firm, JEJ Engineering Limited has launched a GPS mapping software in Nigeria to help Nigerians and foreigners locate addresses of streets and districts in the country.

Speaking in Lagos, Adefemi Adeniyi country manager, JEJ Engineering, a distributor for Garmin, the maker of the software called Garmap, said that for very little cost, users can take full advantage of having a “go-anywhere” navigation device in their pockets which is as convenient and beneficial to use as it is easy to set up.

Garmap Nigeria Streetmaps included over 9,800 km of routable map data and a list of over 8,800 points of interest (POIs), which is growing on a regular basis, adding that Garmap for mobile includes Streetmaps for Lagos, FCT Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Warri, Otta amongst others.
