US companyย Turionย Space,ย aimingย toย buildย spacecraftย toย removeย orbital-debris,ย satelliteย servicing,ย andย domainย awareness, has selectedย NanoAvionicsย smallย satelliteย bus, the MP42,ย as the basisย forย its โDroid-1โย spacecraft designed for a reconnaissance mission in low Earth orbit (LEO). The launch of the Droid-1ย satelliteย is plannedย forย the first quarter of 2023.Using its onboard sensors,ย Turionย Spaceโsย satelliteย will beย ableย toย take extremelyย accurate measurements ofย spacecraftย andย objects in orbit.
