October 21, 2002 – GeoAnalytics, a provider of geographic and land information systems (GIS/LIS) technology and management consulting, has been hired by the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) to provide consulting services during the first stage of a Location Referencing System development project. GeoAnalytics will help ITD understand how location information related to multi-modal transportation is collected, shared, used, and stored in Idaho.
ITD has completed an enterprise-wide Information Strategy Plan that outlines a strategic framework for the long-term modernization of its information resources. The plan recognizes the management of location information as a critical component of this strategy. GeoAnalytics was chosen for its specific subject matter expertise in location reference methods used to track multi-modal transportation information. Of particular interest to ITD was GeoAnalytics’ enterprise perspective in helping clients make location reference systems part of their overall business and information systems strategies and improvements.
