Trimble VRS service launched in Colorado

< 1 Minute Read

California, USA, 01 June 2007: Trimble has launched Trimble VRS service in Colorado across Denver. The Trimble VRS will provide surveyors with access to Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning corrections without the need for a field base station.

The GNSS infrastructure network in Colorado includes a network of Trimble NetR5 GNSS reference stations equipped to receive broad-spectrum GPS and GLONASS positioning signals . The network corrections are calculated using Trimble VRS technology. The infrastructure network covers an area of approximately 3,701 square kilometres, and users can connect into the network for accessing RTK and DGPS corrections.

The service is expected to deliver centimetre level RTK and DGPS positioning customized for each GNSS receiver’s exact location anywhere in the network.
